Didine Canon 16 and football: from "Algeria" to "Algérie mon amour"
For Didine Canon 16, the Algerian rapper who became a media partner of 1xBet in September 2026, football shows up in song titles, in release dates and even in a rap compilation built around the game. These are the tracks and projects that connect his music with the pitch, with dates we checked against two sources.
"Algérie mon amour", the most searched title
"Algérie mon amour" brings together Didine Canon 16, Jayel and Medi Meyz. The single came out on 31 December 2025, in the middle of the Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Morocco (21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026). It is now the most frequent football-related search around the artist in Algeria.
Football in his song titles
Title | Released | Football link |
|---|---|---|
Algeria | 18 July 2019 | Out the day before the 2019 AFCON final |
Di Maria | 7 April 2020 | Named after Argentine winger Ángel Di María |
Newton | 21 July 2023 | His track on the Du Nord au Sud compilation |
The day after "Algeria" was released, on 19 July 2019, the Greens beat Senegal 1-0 in Cairo to win their second Africa Cup of Nations.
Other tracks play on the same theme, though we could not date them with two sources: "Dembélé", after the French forward, and "Malaga", the name of both an Andalusian city and its football club. A title points to the reference; it does not mean the song is about a match.
Du Nord au Sud - Album Foot Korner
In late 2023 a French sportswear retail chain launched a rap compilation that gathered several voices around football culture. It came out on 8 December 2023, and Didine Canon 16 appears on it with "Newton", first released as a single. The photo below is a still from that video.
