Euroleague 2026/27 from Algeria: dates, clubs and betting
Europe's strongest club basketball competition is the EuroLeague π. Its organiser, Euroleague Basketball, is a private body made up of clubs and sits outside FIBA. Twenty teams contest the 2026/27 edition: 38 regular-season rounds with every fixture played home and away, then a play-in, the playoffs and a Final Four weekend where the title is decided.
Olympiacos defend the crown they won in Athens in May 2026. For their nineteen rivals, the route runs through a top-six finish or the play-in, and then a playoff series win to reach the Final Four at the end of May.
24 September 2026 to 30 May 2027: the season step by step
The regular season tips off on Thursday 24 September 2026 and ends on Friday 16 April 2027. Every club plays each of its nineteen opponents twice, once in its own arena and once on the road. After round 38, the table sorts the field into three groups:

Eight teams contest the playoffs: the top six plus the two play-in survivors. They are paired into four series, and the first side to three wins goes through, so no series runs past five games. The four series winners head to the Final Four, with the semi-finals on Friday 28 May and the final on Sunday 30 May 2027 π. A team finishing anywhere from 7th to 10th can still win the trophy, provided it gets through the play-in.

Spain supplies four clubs and Turkey three, while Greece, Serbia, Israel, France and Italy send two each. Starting with the holders' country:

Only one change from 2025/26: BeΕiktaΕ come in and Monaco drop into the EuroCup. Dubai Basketball, the only club from an Arab country, play the full season on a wild card granted for five years. Because every pair of clubs meets twice, each side hosts the holders Olympiacos once and visits them once.
EuroLeague on Algerian time
Algeria stays on UTC+1 all year and never changes its clocks. EuroLeague games take place in the evening during the week, on Central European Time. From late October to late March, that clock matches Algiers exactly. European summer time ends on the last Sunday of October and returns on the last Sunday of March; outside that window, an evening tip-off in Europe shows up an hour earlier on Algerian clocks. That covers the first weeks of autumn and the whole spring run, from the play-in to the Final Four.
Friday games fall on the Algerian weekend, which runs from Friday to Saturday. The second play-in night on 23 April and the Final Four semi-finals on 28 May 2027 are both Friday evenings.

A bet on the champion placed in September runs until the final on 30 May 2027. EuroLeague games can also go into an accumulator with other sports picked from the full pre-match schedule.

Athens, May 2026: Olympiacos back on top
Telekom Center Athens hosted the last Final Four between Friday 22 and Sunday 24 May 2026. In the semi-finals, Olympiacos saw off Fenerbahçe 79:61 and Real Madrid knocked out Valencia Basket 105:90. The final went Olympiacos' way, 92:85 against Real Madrid.
It was the club's fourth title and its first since 2013. It also made history: never before had the regular-season leader gone on to win the title.
