England. League One brings together the English clubs that sit one step below the Championship and one above League Two. The 2026-27 campaign got under way on Saturday 15 August 2026, and every club plays 46 league games before the table is settled.
Two tickets to the Championship, four exits to League Two
First and second place climb to the Championship with no play-off required. At the foot of the table, the last four are relegated to League Two. The regular season closes on Saturday 8 May 2027, when those places are confirmed.
